This forum is driving me NUTS with the timing out on posts too quickly. I can't wait until we finish upgrading. Anyway, to retype everything I did that was just lost again (and this time hopefully to remember to select all and copy before trying to send and failing):
The idea is to get as many merchants around one tournament arena and prison as possible, so as not to have to buy a second of either for a long time. Most of the homes around those 2 large markets are in the influence area of the central arena & prison.
I need more wheat / bread so the roads on the east end of the most recent sector I unlocked are there to help me map out that space.
Clearly, the vast majority of my wool production has been moved off that island. I'll show that n a minute.
You can see in my final shot my technique for maximizing efficiency around a single distribution house. Those could be level 1s but I had upgraded them before creating this shortest roads possible design... and before I realized I do not need to connect everything. Gotta love the way distribution houses distribute to each other and the warehouse by magic.
I am building more medium transports to be able to move milk production off my main island next.
The random stone roads near my little wool area are left over from having had all my wool production there until I could move it to my medium herb isle.
